Casting Call For ´Whores´ In New Quentin Tarantino Movie Upsets Feminists

Quentin Tarantino is under fire after his aides sent out a casting call for "whores". The director is working on a new western movie project and he´s looking for wannabe prostitutes, aged between 18 and 35.
A quickly-deleted ad for the film search reportedly read: "Casting whores for Quentin Tarantino project", and it was spotted by feminist bloggers at Women and Hollywood before it was taken down.
A post on the blog read: "Putting a casting call out for, or including women in your script with the description of ´whores´, is not OK. Nor is asking actresses to submit their photos and information for consideration with the subject line ´Whore´.
"Aside from the fact that there are better words to use if one is looking to cast women who work in the sex industry, this description is actually a typical example of Hollywood sexism, particularly as it pertains to roles for women."
Ironically, it is widely reported that a woman will direct the new film, which Tarantino is writing.
The full casting ad also called for "Caucasian, non-union females, ages 18-35... No highlights, natural eyebrows, natural breasts, natural hair color to be true to the period. Dress sizes 2-8."
Those interested in the role were asked to send a photograph and list their dress sizes.
Filming on the top secret western begins later this month (Jun16) in Los Angeles.
Tarantino´s choice of words has landed him in trouble many times - fellow filmmaker Spike Lee and civil rights activists have often taken aim at the director for the use of the N-word in his films.
