Rapper David Banner Arrested For Security Guard Altercation

Rapper David Banner was arrested following an alleged altercation with a bouncer outside a bar on Sunday (12Jun16).The Play star allegedly got involved in a heated argument with the bouncer outside Ozio Restaurant & Lounge in Washington, D.C. when his one of friends were denied entry in the early hours of Sunday morning.
According to TMZ.com, it is revealed in the police report that David, real name Lavell William Crump, called the guard a "n**ga" more than once and threw money at him, and swore at police officers when they arrived on the scene.

Video clips taken on Snapchat and sent to the website show the rapper in a dispute with the bouncer, in handcuffs surrounded by police officers, another with a handcuffed David being lectured by a cop and the last showing David by an open car door about to get in.
The latter video captions include, "David Banner getting schooled by the boys..." and "David Banner getting hauled off..."
He was arrested for inciting a fight, which TMZ reports is similar to a ticket.
Banner is known for his work as an activist as well as his music. In November 2006, he was awarded a Visionary Award by the National Black Caucus of the State Legislature in recognition of his work after Hurricane Katrina. And in 2007, he testified before Congress at a hearing about racism and misogyny in hip hop music. At the hearing the rapper defended his use of offensive language arguing: "Change the situation in my neighborhood and maybe I´ll get better."
