Prince was secretly holding on to large a piece of movie memorabilia after scooping up the Minnesota house featured in his film Purple Rain last year (15).
The three-bedroom home in Minneapolis was used as the exterior of the childhood abode where Prince´s character The Kid lived in the 1984 film, and went on the market last summer (15) for $110,000 .
And in documents obtained by local website The Current, the house belongs to NPG Music Publishing, the company owned by the music icon. However, the house is now under control of Bremer Trust, the bank put in charge of handling Prince´s estate following his death in April (16).
In addition to the Purple Rain house, the star own multiple properties in his native Minnesota, including his childhood home, an industrial building, and his Paisley Park compound in Chanhassen. Prince owned over 200 acres in there, making him one of the city´s largest individual landholders.
Prince died aged 57 from an accidental fentanyl overdose at Paisley Park.
