Pusha T´s concert in Toronto came to an early end after a brawl broke out on Tuesday night (20Nov18).
The 41-year-old was performing at Danforth Music Hall in the Canadian city when members of the audience started throwing their drinks at him onstage. This then prompted a rush towards the stage, where punches were thrown at Pusha´s entourage and venue security. It´s understood that the rapper, real name Terrence Thornton, had already made his way off stage before the fight broke out.
According to reports, three people were taken to hospital following the brawl, with police officers telling local news channel CP24 that performers at the venue were "attacked by a group of people".
Following the fight, Pusha reached out to The Shade Room, and told the outlet that he "was untouched in the altercation and continued to perform after they cleared the stage".
However, fans at the gig stated that police later shut down the concert following the fracas.
It´s believed that the bad blood between Pusha and Canadian rapper Drake may have fueled the fight, as Toronto is the latter´s hometown. At one point during the gig, Pusha told the audience he believed people had been "paid" to throw beer at him.
Pusha and Drake´s on/off war of words was reignited in late May, when the former Clipse MC accused the Canadian of using a ghostwriter on his 2015 release If You´re Reading This It´s Too Late, and then revealed he had a secret lovechild, named Adonis, conceived during a fling with former porn star Sophie Brussaux.
Although Drake didn´t directly respond to claims he had a son, he subsequently confirmed his son´s existence on his album Scorpion, and then took aim at Pusha´s longtime collaborator, Kanye West, for apparently leaking the personal information to his pal. Pusha later dismissed the allegations, explaining it was actually the God´s Plan hitmaker´s close friend and producer, Noah ´40´ Shebib, who indirectly shared the news.
