Vic Mensa ´Accused Of Stealing From Barneys´

Vic Mensa has claimed police accused him of stealing from department store Barneys.The rapper and his friends visited the high-end store in Los Angeles on Thursday (04Aug16), and spent more than $4,000 in the shopping spree.
However, Mensa alleged in a series of videos on Snapchat that his group was stopped by police who accused them of stealing their new purchases.
Editors at NME.com report Mensa filmed himself and the police during the ensuing discussions in an effort to prove their innocence.
"We didn´t steal sh*t - I go to Barneys and spend four racks and get accused of stealing," he says in the first clip, which shows one of the policemen who stopped Mensa and his friends.
"They talking about us stealing some sh*t, they don´t even know where we stole some sh*t from, but they think we stole some s**t.
"The craziest thing about is that I bought some ill Saint Laurent boots, some more sh*t from Barneys, and we get all pulled out the f***ing car and get accused of stealing," he continued. "And on top of that, they don´t even know what they think we stole."
The Chicago rapper says in a later video on Snapchat, "Over here just giving a n***a in trouble for all types of stupid sh*t. We didn´t steal sh*t. I go in Barneys and spend four racks and get accused of stealing."
"You can´t be a young black man out here doing anything legal, positive, and you still get treated like a criminal," he concluded. "We don´t have to steal sh*t man, we could buy nicer sh*t than you buy for your wife right now."
The Los Angeles Police Department has yet to comment on the report.
