The Weeknd Narrowly Avoids Injury As Object Plummets From Stage Ceiling

The Weeknd narrowly avoided injury when an object fell from the top of the stage as he performed in Mexico City on Sunday night (21Oct18).
The 28-year-old singer, real name Abel Tesfaye, was on stage belting out his tune Party Monster when an unidentified piece of stage equipment plummeted from the ceiling and landed just inches away from him.
While he appeared to be unaware of the incident as it occurred, not flinching as he continued performing the song, he shared a clip of the terrifying near miss on his Instagram Stories, inserting a scared frown emoji over the clip.
The Starboy musician didn´t let the incident put him off returning to the stage on Monday night, as he performed in Mexico City for a second night as part of his current tour. He is next due to perform in Abu Dhabi on 23 November.
